Maison Lavande family portraits, Saint-Eustache – Lavender dream

Hundreds of images. Countless moments. You ready?
Three years have passed since I last met Victoria and Martin. A lot has changed: my hair got grayer, the boys grew taller and yet, our couple appears to be even happier together.
Victoria is not only supportive in what I do, but also how it is done. She was able to witness the growth of the Pixelicious brand while quietly observing behind the scenes and providing invaluable feedback. My very first client from Ottawa requested a testimonial so I once asked Victoria for a favor, to simply share her wedding experience. The potential bride was so convinced that she ended up hiring me. Things have snowballed to a point that Ottawa now represents half of my client base.
I still don’t know the details of that conversation or what was being said about me. All I know is that choosing Victoria to speak on my behalf was my best decision thus far. True story.
No one wants to refer a bad photographer for a friend’s big day. My clients are putting their own reputation on the line whenever they say my name and for that, I am forever thankful. Unfortunately, not all referrals end up being bookings and in Victoria’s case, she was kind enough to refer not just one, but two friends for this year alone. I had to decline both due to date conflicts and no words can express the pain for not being able serve Victoria’s family and friends.
I promised that I would make up for it with a new set of family portraits. It seemed appropriate especially with the introduction of Eva. You would think that this family is tilting towards absolute male dominance but one shriek from Eva can silence the household. We are witnessing the ascension of the new queen. One problem though, I was told to wait, for a very long time, until we get to see Eva’s teeth. It was either for aesthetic reasons or simply because Victoria wants her daughter to chew off my fingers. This allowed us to brainstorm countless ideas and scenic locations, ultimately deciding on the elusive lavender fields.
Having the chance to see everyone brings incredible joy. It represents my long-term commitment to serve, and continue serving those who are willing to trust me in building their family visual legacy, even many years after their wedding. To those that have always been kind and supportive, Victoria certainly being one of them, rest assured that I will personally reach out to offer that memorable experience once again and that the love is reciprocated many times over.
